Glube Fighter is my attempt at a very classic 2d fighter, made for the Dallas Society of Play's Glube Jam in Spring 2023. It was developed in under two weeks as a solo project. You can support this organization here: societyofplay.net

This game is meant to be played with two players and its controls were designed to be used in the Dallas Society of Play's Arcade Cabinets. I strongly recommend mapping inputs to a standard controller or D-Pad. 

There is only one hitbox per player so no "high" or "low" attacks. Basic attacks are PUNCH and KICK and you can GUARD (Block). GUARDING attacks consumes your guard meter and you cannot block if this meter drops below zero. Special moves can be input but these use a certain amount of CHI each. Your CHI and GUARD regenerate when not in use. GUARD can be used again when it refills completely.

Round ends when a player's health reaches zero. About as simple as fighters get. Wins per player are tracked until you quit.


KEYBOARD CONTROLS:

Player 1:

Movement: Left Arrow - move left

Right Arrow - move right

Up Arrow - Jump

Down Arrow - down (for command inputs)

Z - Punch

X - Kick

Space - Guard


Player 2:

Movement: D - Left

R - Jump

G - Right

F - Down (for command inputs)

A - Punch

S - Kick

Q - Guard


SPECIAL MOVES:

Eye Beam - DOWN, FORWARD, PUNCH

Charge Fist - BACK, FORWARD, PUNCH

Slime Warp - BACK, DOWN, KICK

Drop Kick - (in midair) DOWN, DOWN, KICK


Press C to Exit the Game anytime.
