1.3 UPDATE COMING SOON - (To-Do List)


Good evening.

With the judging window of Pompous Trash 2 coming to a close, it will soon be time to give this game a LOT more polish than we were ale to fit into two weeks.

The next update is aiming to work on the following issues:

  • The physics suck. This is unanimous among everyone who played. We are working to make the jump mechanics snappier, more accurate with better gravity and less floaty. This may require some redesigning of levels as, in the rush of the two-week development window, many levels were designed to be beatable (we hoped) with the original physics. This will result in some minor redesigns for levels and tweaks.
  • Audio will now preserve its layer state when reloading from Continue.
  • The lamps that switch the world state are frustrating people. We are looking to polish this mechanic to make things less frustrating for players.
  • Some have recommended navigation help in some levels. We are looking into adding small prompts to the UI.
  • Did you know there are static blocks in some levels that are always solid? No one else did either. We are adding some updates to these sprites to make these blocks more obvious, which should make some areas easier to conquer.

Thank you to all brave souls who found the strength to play and/or defeat this game in its original state. For those who didn’t - or who were turned off by the awful physics - we will make it worth playing again very soon.
